We’re demanding an end to poverty

TAKE ACTION

We demand an end to poverty

1 in 5 people in the UK live in poverty. That’s 14 million people struggling to meet their most basic needs, including 4 million children. This is the highest level of child poverty since records began. Our leaders cannot let this crisis continue.

This election, we’ll be working to put poverty prevention at the heart of every party’s agenda.

Take action

We’re writing to party leaders calling on them to end poverty this general election.

Big Issue has identified five key policies that are most urgent, and we’re urging leaders to implement them within a year if they get into government. Will you add your voice to the call?

Our Blueprint for Change

Big Issue’s Blueprint for Change is our long-term plan to end poverty for good.

We have decades of experience working with people affected by poverty, so we know what it will take to end poverty. We’ve used that knowledge to compile a roadmap for the next Government. The winning candidate on 4th July must use it to start investing in people to end poverty for good.
